Who We Are
Com-Bro Contracting, Inc. was founded by James Compton to provide mechanical general contracting services to private and public water utility owners. James has hands on experience installing process mechanical systems and spent several years managing projects as a Project Engineer and Superintendent.
During his career he worked for a local general contractor, EMH Environmental, Inc. and one of the largest contracting firms in the US, The Walsh Group. Acquiring invaluable experience over years, James decided to take the best practices and operational methods from both companies to create Com-Bro Contracting, Inc.

Meet the Founder
James has always had a passion for construction. In his youth he loved playing with Legos and helping his family tackle projects around the house.
Wanting to continue developing his skills, he studied Construction Management at CCBC and Management at UMUC. During his career James worked for general contractors building water/wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. He has experience supervising the field and in the project management side of construction.
Along with working full time building water infrastructure James has been remodeling his personal properties and friends’ homes for years. Following his entrepreneurial dreams, James became a licensed general contractor and started Com-Bro Contracting, Inc. to provide great customer service and quality workmanship to property and municipal owners.
As a small local general contracting firm, Com-Bro is able to focus on safety, quality and efficiency bringing cost savings along with a great project experience to owners.
